Rattle noise
Hi
I have a 911 Targa 87 G50, which have been parked during Winter. when I started it up With the gear in neutral it fired ok, but when I pressed the clutch pedal almost in bottom there is a kind of rattle noise and only when the pedal is almost Down. I can shift gear easily, but the noise is there. When I parked the car in the Autumn there is no noise, and never has been... Hope for an answer, and how to fix Best Kjetil:) (Norway) |
Clutch release bearing? Would require pulling the transmission and replacing.

Ok,
For this Project I have to pull out the engine for easy Access? |
You still need to do some more troubleshooting to pinpoint the noise, but yes, in order to replace this bearing also referred as a 'throwout' bearing you would have to remove the transmission. The input shaft on the transmission goes through this bearing. It is possible that the noise may go away if you drive it some.

Yes I will do some troubleshooting first before I do something, thanks
