Small Chrome Flag Mirror 72-73

I'd like to replace the mirror glass on a small flag mirror but do not want to damage the black seal in doing so. Anyone have a technique to remove and replace the mirror without damaging the seal? Thanks Allen

Here is a procedure that was in Panorama and reproduced in Up Fixin years ago. I don't have the first or last pages, but this one is the money page. I've tried it but never gotten the seal to pop out. Others have said that one corner (lower right IIRC) has a gap to enable prying, but I never looked.

Don't expect the mirror to survive the removal, but as long as you can tape the pieces together a glass shop should be able to reproduce.

I can't seem to upload the file, so I'm providing a link to the Early S Registry thread. Last post has the file.
