somewhat o.t. but... my other car has a slightly perforated cuff in the intake system that reduces the inside diameter of the hose quite a lot (like 3'' to 1.5''). i pulled it out to see if i could tell any improvement in flow or mileage or anything b/c i am a hopeless tinkerer. can anyone explain the physics of intake turbulence? when is free flow intake not optimal? the motor is a fuel injected mopar 258 c.i.
