Aux lights on Impact Mounted Similar to Early Car?

Anyone ever seen driving lights mounted on an IB car in the pie shaped area between the headlights and the hood? I am not talking mounting them on the hood but right next to the headlights which would mean drilling a hold in the sheet metal for mounting.

Kind of like the lights here but up higher:

I have seen hood headlights in that area. I will check if I have a picture of that car.

Mine are mounted into the smile, which I think more closely matches the long hood you referenced.

Found these pictures. It is an early LWB car but I think that you will have almost the same space.

Well done! did you create brackets or are they mounted to the bumper?

I think they're mounted using their standard brackets. They were on the car when I bought it, so haven't really investigated too thoroughly.

Minor hijack: Are the bumper strips in place of the side marker lights factory Porsche on the car above?

Yes, normal for RoW cars. Only USA cars got side markers in the bumper.

I'm really digging this look. And being that it's mounted to the smile, it's much more reversible than if you'd drill into the hood or fenders to mount them. Do you know the make and model of the driving lights? Thank you.
