Here's my latest blog entry. It's all about gauges. What's interesting is that the folks at Seattle Speedometer see more damage from attempted owner repairs than from normal wear. Maybe it's too easy to get all out gauges out of the dash?

What's that metal elbow on your dash?

It's not my dash - but it's a shut off switch. Most of the time they're outside of the car. A number of early Porsches seemed to have one inside. Some may have had 2. One on the outside and one on the inside. I've actually raced with groups that required 2 switches. If you turn the switch it shuts everything in the car down.
