Outside handle latch system question
 

Hi guys
My car Is an 89 turbo
Trying to reinstall my handles and don't get it
The internal toggle latch is an " I "
Shape not a V shape
When you lock the car with the key the V would lock in one direction and unlucky in the other
My car has an I shape latch
How would that work
And also how do you set the adjustment on the handle
