Drive shaft 915 vs G50
Hi all
I about to begin a G50 transplant into my 79 SC. I have laid out a pretty good plan for this, I think, but met a little challenge yesterday. The 915 uses 100mm stub axle flanges. The G50 uses 108mm. So I was thinking maybe I could just purchase some CV joints for the 108mm flanges and put them on my existing drive shafts. (Replacing the original 100mm ones on there now) But is this possible? Is the drive shafts the same length? will the splines accept the G50 CV joints? Gurus chime in.... ![]()

If you were to get the axels with the spline shaft on the end, part 911.332.024.14, they are late 915 and Carrera G50. One part covers it all

Yes, I was aware of that option. However, it would be less expensive if I could just swap the inner CV joints for the 108mm size.
But will they fit my 1979 drive shafts?

Does anyone have any info on the axle splines? Are they the same all the way from 74-89?
