Front Brake Rotor removal 1980 930

I have read any and all posts I could find, and yes even the 101 by Dwayne.
How do you get the damn front rotor off this car? Point me in the right direction please!
I'm not even going to post my ideas because they must be wrong. there are several descriptions but they all seem to start AFTER getting to the dust cover, which I can't.

I want to remove A then B then C ??????

You gotta pop out that dust cap and then undo the retaining nut and then it all pulls off as one unit.

See, simple...

(except for getting that dust cap off, it's a booger!!!) I beat the crap out of mine on my carrera before it was able to wiggle loose.

you need to weld a 10mm nut to the top of the dust cap and then remove it with a slide hammer. someone used a dust cap from a non-turbo car.

It looks like somebody stuck a dust cap that doesn't have the threaded center to put bolt in so can remove it.
Then stick allen wrench in hole on side of hub to loosen wheel bearing nut.

What temp or number setting would you recommend if i used a wire fed welder to weld on the 10mm nut to the dust cap? (electric welder)?

it varies between welders. find some 16ga scrap and waste a few nuts until it looks good.

Found that the proper size flat head screwdriver can pry the CAP gently back and forth until it loosens up and slowly comes out. I will try and take pictures of Dust Cap #2 in the process.
the lucky owners of non turbo cars CAN whack the dust cap with a hammer or use muffler clamps. This is not an option with the wider spacers on the 930. the dust cap is actually recessed below the flange. short of welding a bolt like John Walker's shop recommended the solution I found takes patience, and you scar up the dust cover a bit but will not damage its function. it is actually pretty thick metal. If you ain't got no patience you shouldn't have no Porsche.
Next step after pulling rotor was to remove the lower control arm bushing. the pin bolt holding this on is a PITA S.O.B. to remove. Dwayne recommended using a large hammer to back the bolt out, grab a bigger hammer, then put that one back and go buy a BIGGER hammer, I'm talking 5-7 lb'er. Don't hold back when you swing it. And make sure you keep the nut (or two) on the end of the threads or you will mushroom the threads quickly, found this out. The ER refresh kit comes with new bolt pins with the lower control arm bushings, so no big deal if you destroy the bolt. This is for full rebuild of lower A arm and front strut housing removal.
Just FYI.
