Help me build my 2.4
Sorry for the lengthy thread. I searched and found info on 2.7 builds but very little on 2.4 engines.
Just planning stages of my engine build for my 73.5 car. Mild hot rod but it does have matching number case etc so I want to use it without modding the case (2.7 spigots and all that). I have a bunch of mag engine parts available to me so help me pic the best options. I was going to just throw 2.2 pistons, e cams and webers on but I found the heads and CIS for my car. So the Main questions are pistons, cams, injection? This will be mainly a street driven car. Maybe a DE or two a year. Piston options. 2.2, original 2.4 CIS, or New JE higher compression CIS. I understand the swirl issue but I have heard CIS will still run fine with standard pistons. Cam options (that I already have) Original, 2.7 base, 2.7S, E cams. I would love to use the E cams but I think there would be clearance issues if I use CIS pistons. Maybe JE could accommodate for this? Also, is the E cam too much for the CIS? Will is mess with the metering plate? Injection Original 73.5 CIS but I have both 2.7 and 2.7S injection from later cars. Can I swap out components to get more from the original CIS? Thanks in advance.

Yes. I probably should have posted over there. I figured I might get a little more traffic over here.
