Clutch gone?
Gents,
On a recent 'enthusiastic' run, i was in 2nd at approx 4k rpm waiting for an overtaking opportunity for about 15 secs; when this arrived, I changed up from 2nd to 3rd at approx 5-5.5k rpm. All appeared to be fine.... Im now finding there's a fair bit of juddering when moving away from standstill in 1st and reversing - i've let it sit for 5 days without use and its still the same. Clutch has circa 40k on it (sachs spring centred disc with KEP ally housing), with a fair chunk of stop/start traffic Would be par for the course for me to need a new clutch, however is it more likely to be disc or housing related? Or something else that would cause the judder? SP

I would start by checking engine and transmission mounts for wear and tear, and also to check their torque before embarking on a larger troubleshooting effort.
Fingers crossed!!! ![]()

check mounts as mentioned.
you may have "hot spotted" the clutch or flywheel. my 930 did/does it when i bought it. i just had to adjust how i took off from a start. i have not really noticed it in a while.

Thanks both - if it is the clutch is it likely to be the clutch disc, housing, flywheel or all three.
If the clutch is at fault, tempted now to replace with a standard clutch, especially if the KEP pressure plate has to be changed |
