Fan switch replacement - 99 or 91 degree??
I just bought a used 89 Carrera front right oil cooler with fan and am getting ready to replace my 28 row brass cooler - that's right, the one Bruce Anderson says is best for US driving conditions. I'll let you all know how the results in temperature differences are - if any. Anyways, I'm going to replace the stock 239 degree fan thermoswitch with either the 99 or 91 degree C (210 or 196 degree F) switch as shown in the Pelican catalog. Which do you guys think will work better? I would think it would be dependent on the temperature of the oil by the time it reachs the cooler after passing through the first brass line to it?

the 196° switch will likely run the fan at all times. most cars run over 200°
