Richard, Instead of removing the bumper pads,I trimmed the face of the rubber strip underneath the pads. The top of the rubber strip seals the valance to the bumper. I was just to lazy to pull the bumper pads. Craig

Richard,
I saw the time stamp on your post and figured you had them off by now. The three nuts each should do it! I assume you already took the license plate lights off. Mine had years of road gunk assisting the bolts. Has your bumper ever been painted? Maybe the PO put them on over wet paint? At this point I'd probably put a rag on top and hop up and down on on it! BTW, here's my account of removing the rear valence: Anyone replaced their rear valence? Was it this much fun? PS If I recall, once I got the bumper guards off, there were no screws under them... just empty holes! Last edited by LeeH; 09-07-2002 at 02:24 PM.. |

Actually, I stopped by to help you but you weren't home. I just loosened them up for you and left!
We will have Tammy's schedule for next month in a week or two. Know anybody who wants to buy a nice Targa? We found a house that we really like and might want to take the money out of the garage and put it in the bank. Just kicking the idea around at this point. |
