Anti-Theft & Recovery for 2012 991

Recently my 87 3.2 Carrera Coupe was stolen in Los Angeles. It was never recovered sadly, but the good news is I got a great settlement from the insurance company which I used towards buying an off-lease 3,000 mile 911 Carrera S 991, which should be arriving in a couple of weeks. Being that my 3.2 (rip) was pretty analog in terms of security features etc, I'm not to savvy with the "out of the box" anti-theft technology as well as any optional vehicle recovery systems, so I could use a little guidance

991 STOCK ANTI-THEFT
I understand that later model cars generally get stolen less frequently and the stock anti-theft features are enough for most non-car enthusiasts since many lease or generally don't care too much about their cars. I really don't want to go through this whole ordeal ever again so I'm willing to buy a a vehicle recovery system. Are the stock ant-theft options easy to bypass? Immobilizer sounds useful, but does it actually stop theft if someone doesn't have your actual key in their possession? Theoretically it sounds like it would, but does anyone have any "fields tests"?

RECOVERY OPTIONS
Since recovery is a priority for me it seems like I really have two options: LoJack or PCM's PVTS system (porsche vehicle tracking system). What is difficult to understand from Porsche's website is whether or not this is even available now and if not when will it be available? Also, it says it works in most countries in Europe, but I assume it works in the USA as well? Right now I am leaning towards LoJack with the movement sensor notification upgrade that calls or texts you if the car starts moving without your key. Seems pretty useful.

Thoughts?
