Porsche Crest Pelican Parts and Customer Service

Wayne,

Don't take it to heart when fielding complaints from customers. Going after Performance Products, in a negative way, isn't the way to go either. Your decision to absorb shipping costs is yours and not what most of us are expecting when something goes wrong with an order.

I live in Alaska, and because of this, I have to be extra patient in dealing with parts suppliers-shipping can be a nightmare. What really screws things up is when there is a glitch in the ordering or purchasing process, i.e., an errant computer, or new employee.

Dealing with Pelican Parts is a quality experience. The 911 bulletin board you started and maintain is second to none. Not too many people can say they started a community as successful as the one you have created.

Don't loose sight of your objective and continue to focus on quality and customer service.

Regards,

Clinton R Hodges II
Anchorage, AK

He lives in Anchorage.... that's the balmy southern part of the state. Now if he were from Fairbanks, then I'd be impressed.

PS I'm a former Alaskan, but it wasn't cold enough for me so I moved to Minnesota

Bell,

What ever you do consult your map for directions. Anchorage is to the southern part of Alaska like Minnesota is to the southern part of the continental USA.

Yes, Fairbanks is a lot colder than Anchorage, and I can hear Bruce Anderson saying, "minus 20 is cold...minus 40 is too damn cold."

Mr. Krause, the late great Samuel Langhorne Clemens offers humorous insight into human nature, using a cat as an example in one of his quotes. One that has stood the test of time suggesting that some people are genetically predispositioned to make the same mistakes-repeatedly.

Beg to differ, but to the inhabitants of the interior, Anchorage is south (and balmy)

To make this thread a little more on topic

I knew a woman who lived in Fairbanks that owned a '77 911S. Her brother was (still is) an Alaskan State Trooper. He would find a nice straight piece of the Richardson Hwy and run his squad car at a high rate of speed, and let her follow behind.

Thumbs up

I have to second Clinton's comment's:

Living in Hawaii, is sort of the same....shipping is a real *****. Either pay out the rear, or wait for a month for your parts. All you guys at Pelican have made owning a Porsche worthwhile.

Lightbulb

HAH!! And we live in grass shacks here, and igloo's in Alaska. Lets see a pigeon carry a sway bar or a master cylinder!! What they do is put parts into a canoe, and push it towards Hawaii
