1971 Porsche 911 no spark at the coil

Hey everyone,

After 17 years of owning Porsche's and following this forum, I finally have caved and decided I need some help with this my project. Almost five years in the making. I have a 1971 911 st project I've been working on. Completely rebuilt from top to bottom. The engine has been rebuilt and was running in an engine stand and the CDI is a new/refurb bosch and is humming strong. I've read a lot of forum posts about other issues with no spark at the coil, but most are for sc engines. I've tested the positive and the negative of the coil and pulled a spark plug and tested while cranking the engine. I've got no spark or volts.

There are some wires from the front fuse panel that are not hooked up and some plugs as well coming out of the harness but from what I read, these wires are for rear defroster and other unnecessary things. I've attached some pics of the wires and plugs just incase.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
