Is this a transmission cooler?
When I purchased a 914-6 GT cloan a while back there were several boxes of parts and I have finally got around to looking through them. I think this is a transmission cooler (don't think it is complete).
I will attach a couple of pictures and part numbers? Anyone here know what this is? What is it worth? Part #'s 905.107.115.3R on pump housing 905.107.141.3R also on pump housing 901.107.103.1R on gear housing ![]() ![]() |

Yes, it is a camshaft driven pump system, left cam drives an oil pump thru the external cooler. Stef.

That is the pump used on a Sporto transmission or the pump for a factory turbo scavange oil system.
I ve never seen that cooler. The gear is either MFI pump drive or Turbo air pump drive..I lean to turbo because the cooler would be cooling hot turbo oil before it was filtered at the tank. Rereading it, the pump numbers are for Sporto..but the rest of the info is good too, seeing I already posted it Last edited by Flat6pac; 03-15-2014 at 11:48 AM.. |

Thanks for the information
I appreciate the replies. So if it is a pump that used to be on cars with the Sporto transmission and it is driven off a cam gear I suspect there is limited demand?
I think folks wanting a transmission oil cooler have alot of other options for pumps. I was hoping it was some special part that someone who is putting together a special build might be interested in... I will move the part to the classified section when I can come up with its value. Thanks again Last edited by david63; 03-15-2014 at 03:08 PM.. |
