Transmission query

Transmission query
I have a 71 911 with a 3 liter that is a fairly warmed over engine. I have the 7 R type wheel with 225 /50/15 tires at 6000 rpm in first I'm doing 30 MPH. I'm thinking of refreshing the Trans this winter. Is there any advice about using a taller first and second gear that any of you can share. The Trans is a 915 out of a stock 78. I think the power is there to move the car at 35+ MPH at 6000 rpm. Looking for some practical ideas other than changing to a taller tire. That would be too easy and not allow the use of the 225 width tire and the narrow fender. Thanks

There are taller first gear sets available. The question is why do you want a taller 1st gear?

Would like to have a little more range in first and second because they are very short at the moment
