more cheap horsepower

worn bell crank bushings = no WOT

can't wait until I get the car back...BBRIII should be a hoot with new shocks and the possibility of full throttle.

Todd, you know what's scary? Your car has only, what, 30K on the odometer. Imagine how worn out the ones with 70,80, or over 100K miles on them are.
Nothing like free HP!

When I bought my car I discovered that all 3 sets of throttle bushings were not only worn, but mostly GONE. It was getting 1/2 throttle max. And to think that the PO didn't like the car!

I have owned my Targa for 20 years and did'nt notice the bell crank bushing going bad. I don't race, so i don't have a performance bench mark to measure to. It is real easy to not notice the lack of full throttle, certinly when your stuck on the 405 at rush hour. I finely noticed a rough spot in my pedal and had it checked out to find there were no bushings left on the bell crank and i was losing at least 20% of my throttle. Fixed that and went out and spun the tires, something i hav'nt been able to do for some time.
