911 SC value

I have an '81 SC with ~155K miles on it. In the past this car was a daily driver but now it is a weekend toy. As such it has classic car limited use insurance. Car has fresh paint bare metal windows out respray. Minor rust around the door passenger side door catch and passenger side front fender was cut out with new metal welded in. I have pictures of all the body work and the body stripped down showing the body with very little rust. interior is in good condition. New headliner leather dash steering wheel cover seat leather door panels and carpets. Engine rebuilt by reputable builder with receipts and pictures new studs bearings cam tensioners SSIs. Taken out to make a it 3.2 SS 10.5 compression with twin plug ignition via burn bros distributor. Original CIS still on the car and working great with this setup. Upgraded AC that actually works in August heat and humidity.Question is what to set the insurance value at. I know restored cars are not as valuable as low mileage original cars, but I have not seen many restored SCs for sale to get an idea on value. I have seen some low mileage SCs creep into the 30K range (less than 30K miles). Does it seem unreasonable to value my car as described ~30K. Or should I value it higher along the lines of what I have in it ~40K for original car plus fixing it up

Sounds like a really nice SC Nick...what would it cost to replace at that level? I'd go for that figure and maybe pay some more in premiums but be properly covered.

advice i got from the late Bruce Anderson long ago -

put it on eBay with your reserve, start it at $1.99

- the market will tell you what it's worth

If you are trying to determine a reasonable insurance value, what would a decent SC plus all the upgrades (paint/ac/interior/3.2ss, etc) cost to recreate the car. My guess is you can't touch that for less than $50k. So go as high as your carrier and pocketbook allow.

On the other hand, if you are trying to get a value to sell, IMHO, you are between a rock and a hard spot. You have a ton of cash in that car that you will probably never get back. The market for super nice / restored SC's is too small. $35K'ish and wait for the right buyer???
