Outer vent window seal orientation
 

Hi,

during the disassembly of my doors I took a lot of pictures. Unfortunately, I missed the one which would show how the vent window is sealed on the outside. I have sealed it with butyl sealant and I have the "8" shaped seals on hand. However, I'm not sure how they have to be installed.

Pardon my poor sketching abilities ;-) I tried to draw what I think would make sense. Can anyone verify this or point me in the right direction?

That piece just slides in as you have drawn, mine is pretty loose.

The flat middle section is pinched between the frame and the trim.
