REAL barnfind! '69 911T

I just bumbled my way into ownership of a fantastic well preserved and seldom seen '69 T. I once drove a '66 911 as my daily driver back in the 80's and have been a phat bodied 930 kook since. Fortunate enough now to have both.

Please, yielding to the experts, tell me what I got here? I am willing to offer it to market for a healthy bid, but also know hanging on to this is a good thing too. Reason is, I tend to be a perfectionist and once I start with projects, (example; exhaust changeout), a full blown restoration to a garage queen is next, I can't help it.

Original 'air box' and AC, both removed are present....as are books and tools, complete too! It is REALLY a straight and neat example...just waking up from the dream.....

Wanting to determine if those Fuchs were 'stock'? Or were they added by the owner later? Did it come with steelies as some have suggested? Were the Fuchs a factory option?

I'm pretty sure the tach is from an E or an S. Didn't T's redline at 62 or 6300?

Congrats!

Try to preserve the patina.

Exhaust pipes look too tuning-like.

It's got the S trim package on it. Really common on the '69-71 T.

Thanks Matt, what confirms that? Fuchs? Anything else? The front valance does not appear to be an 'S' style? Flojo, it did receive a crap quality paint job some long time ago, that is holding up decently, but no sense in preserving this respray...I just don't wanna dismantle and restore to ridiculous standards and never be able to drive it without worry...at least for now.

Random photo.... Gaps everywhere on the car are literally perfect, my guess, never hit.

The deco and the gauges. And the Fuchs. There were more things and I am sure a member with a better memory than mine will point them out.

69 t

If a 69 is the same as a 71T (mine) except for the 2.0 to 2.2 liter engine, the S upgrade gives you the wheels and lower body trim as shown could include the S 3.5 calipers (likely not) the exhaust is an after market empi or scorpion or abarth. If the engine cover is black its a T. E is green, S is red. T tach is 6500 redline, E is 6900, S is 7200. so it appears you have an E tach. Nice looking car, curious as to the mileage and mech condition. best of luck, Henry

The S front valance didn't start until 72.
