I checked into replacing my 4 spoke steering wheel with my Porsche Dealer (color is burgandy) - $1200.00 - YIKES! There are none in USA but one in "The Father Land" Germany. He told me he had heard of an individual, he thought the name was Robert Woods, that will redo the outside leather and send you a steering wheel while he is doing it. Said you can't tell the difference between factory and and work this individual does.
Anyone know of this person? Cost and turnaround time? Maybe some of you know of an alternative place. Like I said my interior is Burgandy. Did not get any hits on GOOGLE. Thanks for any POSTS. Interesting ...
I never knew Robert Wood and wheel enhancment was the same company. I new Robert Wood sounded familiar so I went thru the P.O.'s paperwork and found the receipt for the 2 ea. 7x16 and 8x16 5-spoke factory forged alloys new original finish (centers painted by Robert Wood) w Porsche inlaid crest caps. (Currently on the car) They were shipped from Los Angeles, CA on 10/12/90... I can say that they have held up very very well! Cost was $1720.00 after him taking 2 7x16 factory forged 5 spokes and 4 center caps in exchange. Maybe not so interesting? Hey...that's what 3 glasses of a good single malt and an Ashton will do to ya on a Friday night! Last edited by 78silversc; 09-13-2002 at 05:33 PM.. |

AGLA will also delay your delivery for weeks and throw in some free attitude when you call. Oh, and their shift boot and e-brake leather didn't match. Shop around a bit.

Unbelievable.....I also found the receipt for an Alan Gunn Brakeboot and ShiftBoot....mine match perfectly.
But as it was installed over 10 years ago I can not speak to the delivery or company attitude. |

Robert Wood retired / left the business last year.
I'm not sure what he's up to lately. John Brown (IIRC) is running Wheel Enhancement now.

I've used AGLA for products in 3 of my cars over the past 10 years.
They have always been extremely courteous to me, delivered exactly when promised, with quality that is very, very good. At very reasonable prices, too. I would not hesitate to use them again. FWIW. |
