Talking My 911 is home! (progress pics)

It has only been 3 months but it seems like forever. I finally got my car back from the body shop last evening. No rust, new paint, new windshield, new dash, new headliner...now, if I can just remember where all of those bolts go!

The best part was once we got some juice in the dead battery I took it around the block a few times. Had to sit on the floor, no seats, no lights or signals, no muffler. It was a blast!!! I may do it again tonight!

You can always duct tape a milk crate to the floor. If you're feeling fancy, bolt some plywood to the back... Heh heh...

For $10 I'll send you the build plans

Actually, sitting way down on the floor barely seeing out with all of the noise kind of gives it that German Touring Car Series feel.

Looks great. Now get it back together so we can have fun chasing you through the mountains next week.

Bob, the holes are there, I am putting the badges back on. The only things I am leaving off are the rocker trim and the front bumperettes.

Tom,

THe box wasn't included... But for $2 extra "handling charge" I'll put the instructions in a box, along with a cable de-scrambler plan.

Thanks Ron, I'll say the same for you regarding your cross country trip. I hope I'll have the chance to do that someday.

Chris, just $2 more? Such a deal, how can I pass it up? Will I also get a set of Ginsu knives?

Tom:

Who did the paint and body work?

I live in Concord. Would like to know for future reference.

Thanks,

Brian

Actually, the silver was the original color of the car. Someone else had painted it blue. I don't think it was an exact match of any of the Porsche blues, although it was very close to Chris Baker's ("shakenbake") color. Having seen Halm's Metallic blue I think it was probably closer to being Gemini blue.

Paint and body work was done by Randall Yow at Foreign Coachworks in Greensboro.
