1977 911S Windows Quit Working
My switches for the drivers and passenger side have all of the sudden stopped working. I have checked the fuse bar and all fuses seem to be ok. Any advice on what could be the problem?
Thanks in advance. |
I'd probably recommend pulling them out from their mounts and start checking with a voltmeter to be sure you have power to the switches, then trace them along. I seem to remember that the power for both of the windows comes from the driver's door switch at first. If you search around, there should be a wiring diagram to help you trace the fault.
The switches themselves are known to fail as well, especially the URO aftermarket ones. |

Connetion corrosion? You may have to pull the door panel. Search on how to do this. It's annoying the first time as you have to figure it out. Quite simple - once you've done it -but there are several fasteners. Long allen wrench set is helpful. You will need a multi-meter. |

Hey All,
Thanks for the responses, I did a search on Google and found on rennslist there is a plug in well of drivers door. This was the culprit, plug was unconnected and when put back in, all was well. Hope this post can help seine in the future..... |
