Bertone 911 cabriolt, trying to find out what it was offered for decades ago?

I remember the car when it was maroon. Now pictured in one of Randy Leffingwell's picture books it is resplendant in black.
See pictures here:

Bertone's Gorgeous 1966 Porsche 911 Roadster

I vaguely remember talk of the car, which was developed when West Coast importer Johnny von Neumann had it built at his own best, was for sale in its original maroon. I can't remember the price, though, maybe $22,000? Maybe someone has seen an ad for the car.

But today I'd put it at $400,000 or so because it is one of one. And esgined by Giugiaro, now a much more famous designer than he was back then.
By the way the story shows it with the headlights open that was not its best vview.

Neat looking car and history on flatsixes.

Looks kind of like a Fiat Dino Spider.

Oddly enough Bill Reinert (not Reinhart) is a friend of mine. Not likely the same guy, but he and a partner imported and restored a Fiat Dino Spider a couple of years ago.

its a nice "barchetta"-kind of a car... but NOTHING you'd combine with porsche, when comparing their main design.

if it carried an italian manufacturer logo (maserati, dino, ferrari...), it would have sold.
