Front Fender Removal - Headlight wiring help needed?
Hey Guys,
I am removing my fenders and replacing them with Fiberglass fenders. The last thing I need to do to complete the job is to remove the headlight wiring. the hole in the headlight bucket does not allow for the plastic connectors to slide through. I know how to remove the tri-plug that connects to the headlight but am concerned with the large of the two rectangle plugs. It doe not appear to have a quick disconnect on the one end that I need to disconnect. The plastic is brittle and end I don't want to force anything. Is there a trick to removing the wiring from the headlight buckets or do you just cut and reconnect when you install the new fenders? The car is a 79-911SC. Here is a picture of the wiring/headlight bucket. Thanks in advance. Brent 79 - 911SC ![]() |

Each of those connectors have a tab lock. Use a jeweler's screwdriver on them just like the 3 prong plug. They will come out of the housing.
