HELP.... Have a fuel leak, how do I fix it

Was driving the 911 tonight and thought I smelled gas but dismissed it. 5 miles down the road my wife asked me if I smelled gas. I pulled over and popped the engine lid. Yep I am leaking fuel.

The leak is on the rubber line that comes into the fuel accumulator. I have put an arrow in the place where it is leaking.

Seeing as it weaping from this area (swagged joint) how do I fix it. I think the fuel line runs all the way up to the front of the car do I have to replace the whole line or can I repair this one. Give some quick easy reliable options please. Have a car show this weekend and a mountain drive next weekend.

thanks

As a temp fix, you could remove the clamp on the hose and temporarily replace with two hose clamps to stop the leaking until you have a chance to fix it permanently or replace it.

The metal line going into the hose has a barbe on the end so if you cut with a hack saw be careful not to damage it.

Thanks Steve didn't know that. What is the correct way to fix it. I would imagine put a new fitting on it but I have never seen anything like that in stores. I would imagine I would need a special set of crimping pliers as well.

Well I re-crimped the barrel like piece using a standard set of slip jaw pliers. Metal is pretty soft and I mad sure I crimped evenly around the fitting so as to avoid making it oval. I then hooked it back up and bypassed the fuel pump relay and let the fuel pump run. No leaks this time around. Wonder if this fixed it or if I just stuck my finger in the leak.

The question now is should I drive it to work tomorrow which will be about a 200 mile round trip journey.
