Pirelli P6000 - anyone have newer "N2" version

Need tires for my 15" Fuchs.
I've read a lot of feedback about Pirelli P6000 and it has all been less than stellar. Turns out, these reviews were talking about the "N1" version of the tire.
Tirerack is now selling the Pirelli "N2" version of the tire - but I've not found any reviews of this newer design.
Anyone out there have these tires who can provide some feedback?

I do, on my '84 Cab. Very good tires for my purpose, which is commuting, along a mountain road with several hairpins. No all-out driving though.

Bump -
Thanks GeorgeK.
I would like to know how these handle driving hard and maybe a little DE (drivers ed).
Come on - somebody must have these. ;-)

P6000 in original sizes are not the best solution for DE. Low profile (and stickier) tires in 205 and 225 would be much better, at the cost of speedo error. The shorter tires would also give you better scceleration.

As for driving hard on public roads, they are likely more than enough if you stay within the confines of the law (like we all do, right...).

Thanks again GeorgeK -
The problem I'm having is finding other tires that will fit a car with 15" wheels.
I am looking for 16's but have not found a set yet.

Michelin MXV4

I have michelin mxv4s on 7 & 8's. in real world commuting in rain and shine they are better than my pilot sports on 17s. Why not buy another set of wheels with R compound tires for the track?

Buying another set of wheels is a nice idea and I am looking - cash is the issue on that front - I just purchased the car.

Do you have these MXV4's in 15" rim sizes? How do they handle for normal street driving?

Mxv4

Yes they are on 15" Fuchs 7&8". I was running pilot sports on cup II 17" 7&9".
For normal fast street driving the tires handle better, turn in better, break away more predictably and are more comfortable. Some of it is down to the better offsets of the Fuchs but I feel a lot of it is the tires. I know it doesn't make sense.
They are 195/65 and 215/60. Also very cheap at Costco.

Westfield,

Thanks for your input. I was thinking of the P6000 N2's, but for $400 less...the Michelin MXV4's might make more sense for the light duty that they'd see on my '84 3.2.
