68 Boge front shocks
I called a couple parts suppliers looking for just plain old Boge struts inserts for a 68 911 Targa. I was told only Koni and Bilstien were available. Porsche didn't offer the Koni's in the targa because they were to stiff.
Any one know differant? Where can I get some Boge inserts? |

Hogwash about the KONI's not being offered on Targa's! ALL '68 and '67 911S models, including Targa's, had KONI's as OEM Standard Equipment!
My '73 Taga came with factory KONI's, too!

Only speaking from personal experiance. I have 4 67 911S coupes and 1 67S targa, and one 68S targa. Both are unmolested Targas and they have Boge front struts. I was told that SWB targas don't have the Konis from the factory due to the less chassis rigity on the SWB Targas. If you have seen unmoested SWB targas WITH Koni struts from the factory, then I guess you are right.
BTW, I found the Boge front inserts, and thank you for your comments. |
