I have a question for the posing. Iwant to swap the doors from my '77 Targa with the doors from my '74 Targa. So what is the easiest way to do this, unbolt the whole hinge assembly, or just pop the pins?. I'm thinking about the agonies of door hanging and alignment here, (and just how do you get those pins out anyway?). Does anybody have any tips to make this procedure easier?.

The pins come out easily with a suitable drift and mallet. Squirt some penetrating oil on them first. you may indeed need to refit the doors after checking alignment. Try it you may get luck and not need to.
