911 window rattle
 

I have a '87 911 coupe and the window rattles when the window is fully raised. Drop the glass 1/2 inch and the rattle stops. Before I take the door panals off, I would like to know what's needed to fix the problem. The car has 167,000 miless on it and this is the only rattle! Thanks JMH

The only rattle, you are doing well!

Is it the window it's self or more likely the bits and pieces that raise the window?

My car was the bit's and pieces. I recommend you take the door interiour off and have a look. It may be where part of the mechanism bolts to the inside of the door. Or if it's not that you may see what the problem is.

I have the same problem on the
passenger side window.

when it's raised all the way up, it rattles. when I lower it about half way, the rattle goes away.
