Gas tank Seal replacement
Can i replace the seal in front of the gas tank on my SC without disconnecting the fuel line underneat ?

The seal covers the whole bottom circumference of the gas tank so the only correct way to replace it is to remove the tank and scrape off the old seal and clean the area before installing the new one.
For what it's worth,i've removed my tank three times so far and i've used thick weatherstrip seals from the hardware store,i think they come in 20 ft rolls and cost around 10 dollars ... Cheers Phil

Just did this job, tank will have to come out. It's just to tight underneath to make it work. Don't be surprised if there is rust on the lip around the tank.

Doing this right now. Pull the tank. While you at it clean the screen at the bottom of the tank.

Forgot to mention the rust part ... i had to clean mine up a little as well !

Another good tip is to use a jack with a piece of wood to gently unseat the tank from the frame. Mine was pretty well stuck.
