tach reading too high
 
I have 86 3.2 engine installed in my 914-6. Everything runs and work correctly except the tach. The tach is from an 86 3.2, wiring harness from the rebuilt DME was from Patrick Motorsports. Tach is reading about double what it should. Does this sound like a bad tach or something else.
