Need help with 1971 2.2 with Zenith Carbs

Hi All,

Does anyone have pictures of the correct plastic air filter and snorkel for a 1971 911T 2.2 with Zenith carbs? My project came with 2 different plastic air filters and 2 different snorkels and I can't figure out if either one of them are correct. If possible, I would like pictures of the top, bottom, and back of the plastic air filter.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Dennis

Pictures of Airbox #1

Hi All,

Finally got my digital camera working. I hope someone can tell one if any of these air boxes and snorkels are correct for a 71 911T with Zenith Carbs.

Attached are pictures for airbox #1.
- This one has plastic air box
- metal snorkel that points to the right
- The attachment point to each carb has 3 large circle cutouts of the plastic
- there are no small holes at the rear of airbox

My 71T. It's pretty much all plastic.

71 Airbox

Doug,

Very nice looking engine, so I'm jealous!

Thanks for the picture. Does your airbox have a vacuum line connection at the rear for each carb bank?

Thanks,
Dennis

No. There are no vacuum connections anywhere on the engine, assuming you have removed the zenith air enrichment circuit, which should be done. The only connections to the air box are the oil breather hose to the oil fill elbow and to the evaporative system at the 'T' fitting on the bottom of the air box, and the hot air to the snorkel. The other hose fitting on the bottom of the air box is a moisture drain.
