good alignment setting and front ride height
 

I installed a turbo tie rod kit last weekend on the 88 cab, and plan to have it aligned this week. Can anyone please give me advise on a good alignment setting for performance street driving?

Should I lower the front slightly (only ~1/2 - 1")? Don't think I should go lower as I don't want to break the chin spoiler.

This is a tough one as there are many good answers..depends on your "target" use and tolerance for a new compromise setting.

I wouldn't go much below Euro height ( 25.5" front / 25" rear fender lip measurement)...perhaps as low as 24.5" fr / 24" rear.

Good compromise setting might be anywhere from neg 30 min to neg 1 degree front camber...and negative 1 degree to negative 1.5 degree rear camber.

Hint: Normally , have 0.5 degree ( = 30 min) more rear camber than front, to induce a degree of stability ( understeer tendency). If you're a bit more balsy..go with equal camber front/ rear, which makes high-speed sweepers a bit more neutral. Be careful..don't set up for neutral at low , tight radius turns ( high steering angle)...as this might get you to much-more-than-neutral ( oversteering) characterisitcs on high speed turns, when less sterring angle is used....big pucker factor !! :eek:

Set front caster as max as you can get ( say 6.5 degrees), and go for just a "tad bit" of toe...say 10 minutes front ( each wheel)...and I'm not so sure about rear...some have zero toe, but I think a tad bit of toe here is OK too...
