Help ID missing AC hose
This board has saved me tons of $, I thank you all!
My latest issue - With the humidity overload just around the corner here in Fla, I am working on restoring the AC on my 75 Targa. My needs are modest, just enough to take the edge off. I am not looking for 35 degree temps. The PO removed the compressor and (perhaps?) back condenser, keeping the hoses, drier, and front condenser all untouched. I have reinstalled the compressor, Now, I seem to be missing a male to female hose that wraps from mid engine to the compressor. Can anyone ID the missing hose, or have a used one? I will likely opt for installing another condenser in the back wheel area to save engine space instead of a deck lid condenser. Like I said I seem to have most all the parts except this missing hose. Any thoughts, suggestions? Thank you. Jim,
I think you need the deck lid condenser that your open hose in the engine room connects to as well as the hose from the compressor to the deck lid condenser. The reason is that you need lots of condenser surface area and the deck lid one is the largest one in the car. |
Jim,
If the previous owner removed the deck lid condenser because of engine mod's (clearance) then you need to look at other options. And, the original hoses you have are going to be an issue; they leak. PM if you need some direction. |
