Couple of Spring Projects DONE... Couple of Questions.
Wheels and Tires CHECK
Lowered CHECK Three Point Rear Belts CHECK General Maintenance Fluids etc CHECK Questions: Top sticks up a bit on the passenger side and creates a fair amount of noise over 70 mph... Is it a simple adjustment? Drivers side targa seal... specifically the rubber seal where the top of the window meets the roof and in the front top corner of the drivers door/window there is a gap. Suggestions? Am interested in the GT3 Style muffler. Suggestions on one and a rear valance for one? Thanks.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1397828709.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1397828744.jpg In this picture you can see how the passenger side of the front of the top sticks up. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1397828773.jpg Thanks for the help!!! |

I had a similar problem with my new. 81 targa you can try adjust the window mine was going to high and overlapping the seal It's pretty easy to adjust the windows take the door card out and there's a stopper you can adjust

I am right here in Wayne if you want to check the fit as compared to mine.
I just think Targas were meant to be driven with the top off. Otherwise they are really loud. |
sorry I cant help with the targa as I have a coupe but the wheels and the stance looks great!

As noted the window is too high. It should not travel though that little rubber lip seal on the vent window.
I bet the passenger side is high too. How does the top fit when the windows are down? Does the top lay down better at the ends? Is it the original seal? |
I read good things about the M&K GT3 style muffler. Rarlyl8 sells a custom rear valence for it too.

Problem solved. The rubber seal on the top had slid inwards. I slid it back to the correct spot and tightened the screws that hold it in place.

Might want to check your window travel. Like Bob and Cali said earlier, it looks like your window is traveling a bit too far.
