When I reinstall my fiberglass fenders, should there be a piece of rubber weatherstrip to "seal" the fender to the body? Is so, where can I purchase such an item?
The car did not have this weatherstrip when I purchased it, and I noticed that there was quite a bit of surface rust on the body where the fender meets the body. Bill ------------------ William Armentrout 1973 911T 2.7 carerra rs specs www.geocities.com/william_armentrout |

It's not a rubber weatherstrip but a strip of somewhat sticky, silly-putty-like substance that comes in a roll. It's a "Porsche part," and you get it from any good parts outlet. I would assume Pelican can supply it easily.

In addition, there is a little weatherstrip at the top side of the fender (probably 15 cm/6" long), just below the A-pillar. This is made of rubber/plastic.
