Part # ?

I wouldn't have a clue where to look for this one.

The rubber strap that holds the tire jack in it's storage location.

I'm interested in knowing that, too. But, I've never seen them in any parts catalog.

I think our best bet for a replacement would be to browse a You-Pull-It or visit Parts Heaven.

Hello

This rubber strap has a 914 partsnumber and was also used in the 928.

That will give me a good start. I looked in the micro fiche yesterday. Jack section. I could see the pads where the jack sits, but not the strap.

I told the shop where I buy some of my small and odd factory stuff. That I thought it was the same as the one used in the 914.

Thanks Roland.

I'll keep digging.

Believe it or not, you are looking for the part description "bracket for jack", pn 911-722-021-01.
Those Germans - it's like they have a different word for everything - bracket, strap, whatever.

Wayne's got the part as well - I found it in a parts search using "jack strap" - not to be confused with a search for "jock strap".
Description: Auto Jack Bracket (Rubber Strap), 911/914 All
Part No: C-722-021-01
Price: $5.70

Thanks.........I'm on it.

Question. does anyone have a photo they can upload to show how this strap works. I am at a loss to see attachment points in my '73 for any type of tire holddown device.

TIA.

Harry,

We're talking the tire jack rubber strap here, not anything for the tire.

Update

Following Rolands lead

Was : 914 722 021 10

Then : 911 721 017 00

Now : 911 722 021 01

Stil can't figure why it's call a bracket.

Hello

The 914 rubber strap is now: 911 722 021 02 and costs around 9€. Also you mostly need:
Felt strip 911 556 200 02 for 1,5€ and the rubber wedge for the basefrom the Bilstein lifter, that is 911 722 131 00 for 7€

Grüsse
