It looks like it could be a good year for Porsches at the Run-off's. A few highlights.
There are a whole bunch of Porsches in GT2 including a '68 911, a '96 911, a 914-6 and a couple of 944's, one of which is favored to win in the hands of David Finch . While early 911's (2.0 and 2.2) as well as 924's and 914's are eligible for GT3, none are running this year. The early 911's as well as 924's, 944's and 914's are also eligible for E-Prod , but no one is running any at the run-off's. I do know of at least one 944 which is racing regionally in this class, but the run-off's are still a future target. There are a couple of 914's as well as a 356 running in F-Prod though. In the Touring Classes (T1 and T2) there is a 996 and a Boxster competing respectively in those classes. You can follow the results of qualifying and the races at the 2002 Run-off's here, , just look under results. Unfortunately they are no longer broadcast live, but at least they are all going to be broadcast on Speedvision later this year. ![]() ![]() ![]()
