Door unlock mechanism reversed on 83 911
 

I have an 83 SC that the drivers door opens from the outside when the door lock button is down, but opens from the inside when it's up like normal. From the outside, if the button is up it's like the handle is locked...turn the key to make the popper go down so it looks locked and you can open it. How do I fix this? Thanks guys, Dan

Pull the door panel off and take a look at the locking mechanism underneath the door lock button. Maybe someone had it apart and put it back together incorrectly.

Take the door lock knob off and rotate it 90 degrees...try that. It can be put on in the wrong orientation.
