For a stock 3.2 911 to the wheel arches?

The factory never gave a fender lip spec, since that varies depending on tire diameter. I figure that when set to the factory spec (which for 3.2 cars is the same for all, both US and RoW) which measures torsion bar height to wheel hub center, with stock diameter tires the lip heights should be around 26 ½" in front and 26" rear. More or less.

That's higher than I thought. I see a lot of talk of 25 and 25.5 at the front. But wasnt sure if that was ordinary or not.

Yeah, the 25.5F/25R "spec" has been spouted a lot, but no factory street car ever sat that low, as far as I know. Measured the factory way, my car is 25-30mm lower than factory spec, and with stock size tires is about 25 ¾F/25R.

I was curious about this and measured mine (which sits well as far as I am concerned) and it is 24.75" front and rear. This is a 1971 911T Targa which will/could make a difference. This is hardly relevant to the original question I am just rambling.

Cheers, Neil

Been discussed before. The way I read everything is that in general 26.5/26 is "factory" and 25.5/25 is "the right stance". Had "the right stance" on the 88. Replaced shocks all around and now have "factory stance". The 70 with new shocks has "the right stance". Oh well.
