Q: Which color for '67 widebody hotrod?

In near future the bodywork time comes and I need to decide which color the car will be.

I'm huge fan of white, also green (like GT3 RS) has crossed my mind.

Definitely not silver or grey tones. I'd rather stay away from dark colors and the best would be some extreme color option from late 60's, the best if from '67.
Having a flamboyant, almost a bit perverse color options is sort of a trademark of old Porsches.

Here's the "patient" (wheels will be 16" BBS RS, debating whether color centered or not):

+1 on White, I really like a pure deep base white.

Blood orange, signal- or viper green.

There's a good outrageous color thread that goes on for pages....

You could take a cue from the 1973 RS or the 1974 IROC cars.
GP White with an accent color really stands out as well.

How about flat black

I've seen a Bentely and a Mayback in flat black. It takes me back to the 60's when guys bought an old chevy for a hundred bucks sprayed canned it flat black primer and sold them for $500.

I'm a big fan of vintage Porsche colors. They're neat, in a way that today's sea of Arctic Silver and Seal Grey Porsches is not.

I like Viper Green and Signal Orange. But a lot of people like these also, so just about every R Gruppish event I go to has a couple cars with those colors. So if you want to stand out just like everyone else, go with those colors.

People always seem to mention Mexico Blue (another favorite of mine), but it seems rare that someone actually goes out and paints their car Mexico Blue. So I think I might go for that, were I to repaint my car.

And while everyone seems to hate chocolate brown, I think it actually looks pretty good. Particularly as no one likes it. There's a 930 over on the turbo forums (Miguel's) that looks absolutely stunning.

Thanks a lot for the ideas guys!

So I got the information of my 911 how it left the factory:

Motor 909704
Getriebe
6606=irischgrün
Interieur Kunstleder schwarz
Händler Porsche of America,Corp.
Rechnung Oct.'66
Extras Nebellampen
Chromfelgen
Radzierdeckel mit Wappen
Holzlenkrad
Becker Europa

I am leaning towards original paint, 6606 Irish Green. Anyone has photos how it would look like with wider flares and ducktail??

Then there is this colour that nobody seems to know about.

My car is black but was originally sea blue (many owners ago)
It is interesting in that it seems to colour shift in different light.

Here are other people's cars that are still that colour

Jim, this car was at the Porsche shop down the street from me when I was still in Florida. It was being finished for vintage racing in France (notice lack of gas tank). It has a Swedish racing history...quite a lovely car; some photos:

Thanks again for the suggestions and ideas. I think I have decided to make it original Irish Green as it looks business and yet very 60's and 70's. Not too many of Irish Green widebodies around too.
Main goal is Irish Green widebody+ducktail, 17" Fuchs original wheels (they make them, my friend just bought a set for his 964 for ~2000 euros shipped to Estonia) and have 2.5liter (66x90) twin-turbo engine to provide the go. Kind of the idea of Singer but of course made with much more "mortal" parts and sophistication.
