Windscreen Washer Tank - Drain Plug - Help!
Hey guys,
This is doing my head in, so need to ask the collective to see what can be done. A short while ago I was removing the washer tank from the LHS front arch so I could clean and refurb the area....decided to drain the tank first but the drain plug must've gone brittle over the years, and cracked whilst undoing ---> ![]() ![]() Have tried super-gluing it, barely got it finger tight before it sheared off again. Thought I had a Eureka moment the other day; there's an item in the PET listing for the washer system (904-10) described as a "Plug", with a part number for an item that isn't in the illustration. Ordered it, in fact at 19p each I ordered two (!), but sure enough it isn't the correct part....it really is a plug, no use to me at all. So, I had a look in the PET for the 993 and up to '89 G-Series model, and like the 964, they don't list the drain plug separately. Does anyone know if this is a common part to a 924, 944, 968, 928...ANYTHING?....I really don't want to buy a whole new washer tank, to get a 50c part! I know in the early 90's that a lot of Mercedes parts were used....anything doing with MB's? Any help appreciated....currently preventing me finishing off the whole front end of the car. Cheers Spencer.
