Starting issues
Hi folks, just replaced the fuel pump on my '79 930. I started it, it ran fine and I headed inside for a well earned break.
When I can back out I tried it again. Nothing. Won't even turn over. I checked fuses and relays, battery is good, anyone have any ideas? Thanks |
Does the key go all the way to the engage position and then spring back?
Is there any clicking noise from the starter? Does anything electrical work? What is your battery voltage? Can you push start it? |
Thanks for your reply Mitch, ignition switch seems fine (recently replaced), one click on first try and then nothing. I'm reluctant to bump start as it has started to rain here in Dublin and I have no help to get back up the hill but I think I'll try that next. Other electrics seem fine. May go looking for the ground strap when the rain stops...
