911 sc 80 not start
Hi
I have a Porsche 911 sc of 80 The problem started last week I drove the vehicle on a highway the RPM stuck high around 2500 RPM Also took the foot off the gas the RPM stuck high, only the power of the engine driving causing them to be lower. In neutral the RPM again rising, After an hour I tried to turn on the car but the car would not start Something no idea what to do or know Thank you ... |
You could have an air leak in the CIS from a cracked/broken hose or CIS component. Unmetered air in the system is similar to having the throttle open--it increases engine rpm and makes it difficult to start the car. Given the sudden onset of the problem, I'd suggest you check all vacuum lines and components for air leaks.

Stuck/broken plastic mount for cruise control throttle cable?
Located on top of engine above where the metal throttle rod connects. Plastic cable holder can break and stop throttle from completely closing. Cooper |
