What should I do?

I need to recover my seats or find ones in like new condition. Problem is my interior is hannibel grey. Hard to find/match the color. My cars exterior is black metallic. Should I get some cork seats and die the rest of the hannibel grey to match cork? I want to do what ever will best preserve the cars value. I've seen some new cars like Maseratti's with an interior similar to cork and dark metallic exterior paint. I thought it looked great together but didn't know if this would be money well spent or not on my 82 911 SC. Bottom line is I want the seats redone, but can't find a match for hannibel grey so I'm trying to decide whats the best way to deal with it.

To preserve the value recover the seats in the correct color. When you say hard to find do you mean it will cost 2X as much or just a bit more. I would not die the rest of the car to match the seats. If you are going to do that buy a cork interior and replace everything. If its as rare as you say you can most likely sell the interior bits you have to cover this cost. Otherwise I say recover them in the correct Color.

Regards
Dave

Ok. And when I say rare I mean I can't find anyone that sells this color. Not a money issue. GAHH, WorldUPH, and Classic 9 don't offer it. The closest thing is "grey-beige" and I'd say its about a 85% match.

Your dash panel, carpeting, door pulls and so forth all look black in the photo.

I went to your garage, black wheels look tough looking.

I would go with some light weight aftermarket seats like Recaro Sports if being concourse perfect is not important to you - black of course.

Alternate:
Maybe dye the light parts to match your original gray or cork color?

All depends on how original or how boy racer you want to look.

I would recover in black if you cant find a matching colour
they wouldn't look out of place with all the other black trim pieces
