Help with Brake Booster Line Issue
Hi all have a 84 Carrera which Im cleaning up the trunk on and removing a rather crude aircon system that was fitted by the PO. When I pulled the centre airbox out this line was plumed from the brake booster line to a vaccum solenoid on the aircon system. I suspect it was used to open a flap inside the aircon box (It wasnt the standard Behr fresh air box which I am putting back in).
Is this tee piece normal according to the pet it does show a joiner piece in the booster line but it does not have anything coming off it. I suspect it can be deleted with a pice that just joins to the two hoses? Thoughts please? The part in the PET does not show a part number can I just use any piece from a brake company that will join them? ![]() |

You can either cap it or put in a joiner. If you go the joiner route, I would use brass, tougher than plastic and this hose matters. Brake booster hose has very thick walls to avoid collapsing so if you add any hose, make sure to use the correct stuff.
