993 aero mirrors glass is lose. How do I fic that?

The glass on my freshly painted aero mirrors is loose and floppy. How do I tighten them to fix the in position? Thx in advance for your help.

If they are the POS mirrors that "Better Bodies" sells you can just toss them, they are scrap. If Porsche aeros I don't know, never heard of that issue with the real ones...

Maybe taking a look at how to take it off will help you determine how to tighten it back up.


"Hint: to remove the side-view mirror glass, insert a flat-tip screwdriver through the hole in the bottom of the mirror into one of the slots in the retaining ring on the back of the mirror glass. Move it to one side or the other to rotate the retaining ring; this will release the glass. Note the slots at the bottom of the ring."
