Alignment after sway bar replacement?

I have just repainted and re-bushed the front anti-sway bar in my '87 911. Naturally, I had to remove a torsion bar and disassemble the lower control arm assembly.

Normally, I would have the front end aligned after disassembly of the front end, but I haven't seen anything that says this is required in Porsche literature.

I counted threads on the torsion bar adjuster in order to get my tension properly reset and the car seems to track well.

Words of wisdom on this issue are welcomed.

I think you are fine, you did not mess with the strut tower adjustment plates, right? If not, you are good to go. But for safe measure, just take it to a Just Tires and get a free reading or DIY.

My thought is that most people have their alignment sota/kinda close like yours probably is. And, many Porsche owners don't have access to a shop they can reliably use for corner bal and alignment anyway. That and the price is high enough for owners to look for reasons not to get an alignment.

If you like working on your car, a DIY toe is pretty easy to do. Instruction on PP.

My bet is that you will be fine.
